I'm a publican, how can I order your beer? +

The contact details of our sales representatives for the Pilsen, Prague and Brno regions can be found on the main page. For purchases in other regions, our sales representatives will refer you to the relevant wholesale partner. If you are from Pilsen or its surroundings, you can pick up beer directly from the Pilsner brewery in our Gift Shop by prior arrangement.

How should I store beer and what is its shelf-life? +

Our beers are unfiltered and unpasteurized, which is why we provide a 4-month guarantee for most of them. Stronger beers can be stored for a longer period of time, but always check their best before dates. And ideally, store them in a cool dark place.

What's the relationship between the Proud Brewery and Plzeňský Prazdroj? +

The Proud Brewery project was launched under the auspices of Plzeňský Prazdroj, we are one company (same registration number). The experimental brewery serves as a place to experiment with beer in all its varieties – from light drinkable beers with a twist in taste for occasional beer drinkers, under the Proud brand, to beer specials for drinkers who enjoy new tastes, under the Elektrárna brand. Our goal is to brew excellent beer, experiment with beers of various styles, and share our experience with people in our field.

Why are your beers now brewed under the Elektrárna brand and not under the Proud brand? +

Plzeňský Prazdroj decided to use the Proud brand for a new type of Czech lager, intended for the increasing number of mainly younger adult consumers who are not typical beer drinkers and appreciate modern beverages with a lighter taste that are presented in a stylish way. This is actually a “new wave” in the Czech brewing industry. We continue to brew special beers in our experimental brewery under the Elektrárna brand.

Why wasn't a new brand created, and the current Proud changed? +

The new lager was created in the Proud brewery, so it was decided to use the Proud brand. The vision to experiment with beer still continues, as does the goal of bringing attractive, modern, easily drinkable, light beers to a wider audience of consumers.

Why isn't the beer brewed at the Proud Brewery? +

Proud is a filtered beer, for the production of which we do not have technological facilities in the Proud brewery. That is why we brew it in the Pilsner brewery. Among other reasons, the capacity of the experimental brewery would not be sufficient to cover the national demand.

The Proud brewery boasted a management team independent from Prazdroj. It made decisions on what beers it would brew and where it would supply them independently. Will this change? +

Specials under the Elektrárna brand continue to be brewed in the experimental brewery. The Proud brand and its new lager are managed across the entire portfolio of Plzeňský Prazdroj beers. The team from the experimental brewery is also involved in the development of new products for the Proud brand, as it was in the development of the recipe for the new lager.
